On May 19, 2010, the Morris Canal Redevelopment Area Community Development Corporation (MCRACDC) will acknowledge and honor the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency at its annual dinner. The MCRACDC began ten years ago as a neighborhood coalition and after years of hard work, determination and unforeseen roadblocks, will witness its first groundbreaking project this spring.

The JCRA has been instrumental in supporting balanced community development for the Morris Canal neighborhood for over a decade. The Agency has been cited for its sensitivity and support of community concerns related to potential development as well as identifying funding sources to move ahead with affordable housing and other community development projects.
