Margaret S. Herbermann Manor is the first workforce housing project to be constructed in the Jersey City Heights community. The project, when completed, will contain 45 one and two bedroom units with two ground floor retail stores.  The Agency, in its ongoing advocacy of “Green,” energy efficient units has worked closely with the developers to ensure that the building contains L.E.E.D. compliant technologies.  The project is being sponsored and developed by City Line, LLC. Dr. Herbermann was the founder of the School for Crippled Children at Clifton Place in Jersey City, which later became the A. Harry Moore School. She was influenced by the Progressive Era reform of the time and the Agency honors Dr. Herbermann for her compassion and enormous contribution to the residents and City of Jersey City.
